The nearest town to St Même les Carrières is Jarnac, 5 km to the north. Cognac is about 15km to the north-west. By car, leave the N141 Cognac-Jarnac road just west of Jarnac on the D736 towards Segonzac. After about 1km, turn left onto the D10 towards St Même les Carrières and Châteauneuf. After 3km turn right onto the D18 towards Segonzac.
Le Cul d'Anon is about 200m along this road on the left, the last house before the vineyards.

The city of Angoulême is 30km to the east. Its station is served by TGV trains with frequent services to Bordeaux and Paris (about 2 hours away). London can be reached by train in about 7 hours - either via Paris or Lille. A small branch line links Jarnac to Angoulême, although the service is infrequent. Car hire services are available near the station in Angoulême.
